Morgan Haber will be debuting in the Super GT series in the upcoming Thailand round on the 8-9 October in a collaboration between Marc GT and Vattana Motorsport.
Morgan will partner with Vattana Motorsport driver Chonsawat Asavahame in the BMW M6 GT3 in the second tier GT300 class at Thailand’s Chang International Circuit.
The 300km race will be highly competitive and Haber says he’s up to the challenge.
“I’m excited to be racing in the Super GT series – it’s always been a long term goal to race internationally and to get a drive in such a great series is fantastic”.
“I’m certainly looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the M6, it’s a great car and the Chang International Circuit is an incredible track, so I’m keen to go over and put in some test laps prior to the race”.
Haber has confirmed that the Thailand race is a one-off, but he remains passionate about the Australian GT Series.
“We have an incredible GT series here in Australia and some of the best drivers in the world, so it remains a priority for me to keep driving back here. I had to miss the 2nd Endurance Round at Sydney Motorsport Park because the M6 was being shipped to Thailand, but I’m keen to continue racing in the Australian GT Championships”.
The Super GT series has 2 rounds remaining this year, with round 7 taking place in Thailand and round 8 in Japan.
